PIS - Performing Identity Studies Special Collection

Since 2020, in collaboration with the PIS - Performing Identity Studies research group at the Department of Philosophy “Piero Martinetti”, the Biblioteca di Filosofia has been curating the acquisition and development of the PIS collection. Unless otherwise specified, all books in the collection are available for consultation and loan. Users may browse and request titles via the Special Collections section of the Biblioteca di Filosofia in Minerva, the University’s online catalogue.

This collection brings together texts and essays exploring the performative dynamics of identity, with a focus on the epistemic conditions, frameworks, and material objects involved in processes of subjectivation. PIS adopts a renewed materialist approach, drawing on an interdisciplinary dialogue between aesthetics, media theory, and cultural anthropology.
