BSGU: closure of the Sala Centrale and other changes to Library services

From September 15 to 20, some rooms in the Law and Humanities Library will be affected by renovation and maintenance work. The following changes will occur: 

Loan requests for books of the Law and Humanities Library will be suspended on Minerva from 15 to 19 September.

The Sala Senato, Sottocrociera, and Diritto Pubblico collections will be unavailable from September 15 to 19. They will be available for borrowing and consultation again starting Monday, September 22.

The Sala Centrale of the Law and Humanities Library (BSGU) will be closed for maintenance from Wednesday, 17 September to Saturday, 20 September 2025. During the closure:

  • users will be able to consult and self-check out only books that are stored in rooms of the library that remain open.
  • the Interlibrary Services Desk will relocate to the Sala del Settecento (via Festa del Perdono 3).

Reaxys Database: access restored

Access to the Reaxys database has been restored. Negotiations between CRUI-CARE and the publisher Elsevier for the renewal of the contract are still ongoing. Updates will be provided as soon as available.

Citavi subscription will not be renewed

After a trial period in spring 2025, the University has decided to purchase a subscription to EndNote. Consequently, as of 31 July the Citavi subscription will not be renewed, which means that further updates and customer support will no longer be available.
If you wish to migrate from Citavi to EndNote, please follow the instructions on the page Bibliography Management Tools
