Bibliometric Indicators workshop

Please note: the workshop is held in Italian.

It gives you the definitions and methods for retrieving:

• bibliometric indicators for journals (IF, SNIP, SJR, PPI);
• citations for scientific publications from the Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus databases (also mentioning Google Scholar);
• the h-index and other indicators for an author.

You will learn to calculate the h-index and the normalized h-index (hc-index), and to create a profile with ResearcherID and ORCID.

Particular attention will be paid to the search for and the disambiguation of homonyms. We will teach you how to send corrections of your citations to the database managers.
The course is aimed at interested permanent staff, doctoral students and postgraduate students.
We will not explain how to do a topic search in Web of Science, Scopus or Google Scholar.
