Earth Sciences. Joachim Barrande, un percorso bibliografico

A new bibliographic exhibition is available to view at the entrance of the "Ardito Desio" Department of Earth Sciences, via Mangiagalli 34.

The exhibition, organised by the Department Library, is dedicated to Joachim Barrande (1799-1883) and his most important work, Systême silurien du centre de la Bohême, one of the most relevant scientific publications of the 19th century in the field of palaeontology. You will get the chance to see original volumes including the author's signature and dedications to eminent people of the time.

The exhibition is supplemented with fossils from the palaeontology collection of the Department of Earth Sciences, which we thank for its active collaboration.
