Library of the Centre for Foreign Languages and Literatures

The Library supports research and teaching in linguistics and literary studies. It holds over 150,000 volumes and more than 700 serials, 140 of which are currently active, often with online access. The collections, primarily in foreign languages, cover all aspects of linguistics, the history of languages, and European and non-European literatures, including Eastern and Western Europe, the Americas, and Francophone, Anglophone, and Lusophone Africa.

Summer closure

During the summer period the Library is closed from 31 July to 27 August included.

From 28 July to 30 July and on 28 and 29 August the library reduces its opening hours from 9am to 4pm.

In August all online services from MInerva are suspended. Any requests received by the Library from the afternoon of 30 July onwards will be put on hold until we reopen on 28 August.

Loans made before the closure period will automatically be due on 28 August. In any case, users are kindly invited to check the status of their loans in their personal Minerva account.

For partner libraries: the ILL&DD (Nilde) service is suspended from 31 July to 27 August.
