Green Open Access
Authors of peer-reviewed articles published in an AAAS journal retain the right to deposit a copy of the final manuscript after peer review (the so-called post-print) into their institutional repository. Please note that authors are required to sign the Science Journals License to Publish.
Metadata (here defined solely as the data necessary to create a link to the full article on the Publisher's website) can be saved and/or stored in perpetuity in electronic archives managed by the Subscriber and/or by an authorised user within a secure network. Access to and use of these metadata is granted only to authorised users, and to institutional repositories and OPACs (online public access catalogues).
When submitting their work for publication, authors must select their institution. The process is described in detail in the attached Guide for authors on how to apply the discount.
