History of Art, Music and Performing Arts Library

The Library provides resources for the study of art, music, cinema, and theatre, supporting teaching and research. Its collection includes over 120,000 volumes, partially available on open shelves, hundreds of serials, musical scores, and audio-visual multimedia materials. There are 104 study seats across two reading rooms. Several book and archival collections are also housed here

Closures for the Christmas holidays

During the Christmas period, the library will observe the following opening hours:

  • December 22nd and 23rd: reduced opening hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • December 24th to January 6th: closed.

From January 7th: all services will resume the usual opening hours.

Changes to opening hours
On December 22nd-23rd, the library will observe reduced hours, from 9 AM to 4 PM. It will be closed from December 24th to January 6th, 2026, and will reopen with normal hours on January 7th.
