Don’t have your CartaLaStatale with you?

To use the self-check stations available in all University libraries, you can now also use your Electronic Identity Card (CIE) or National Services Card (CNS).

Simply scan the barcode on the back of the card to access borrowing services.

Please note: the barcode on the CIE and CNS must be scanned using the optical barcode reader (red light). The CartaLaStatale, on the other hand, is read via the contactless reader located on the right-hand side of the self-checkout stations.

As part of a trial phase, from Tuesday, 14 July users will have to pass through turnstiles to access the library.

You will be able to access the library with your LaStatale Card or, if you don't have one, with a daily QR-code generated via the LezioniUnimi app or online. Moreover, you won't need to book your seat in the reading room anymore.

The new system will help us gather useful data to monitor access flows and plan improvement actions. 

During the summer period the library will observe the following changes to its opening hours
From August 3 to August 7    9.00-15.00
From August 10 to August 21    CLOSED
From August 24 to August 28    9.00-15.00
All library services will resume regularly on Monday, 31 August 2026.
The following services will be subject to changes during the summer period:

Interlibrary Loan: suspended from 27 July to 21 August
Document delivery: suspended from 3 August to 21 August
Bibliographic research: suspended from 3 August to 21 August
