The Encyclopedia of the Greek Language and Linguistics Online is now available on Minerva. It constitutes a thoroughly revised expansion of the Encyclopedia of the Ancient Greek Language and Linguistics to encompass the entire history of Greek from Proto-Greek to modern times.
Many entries have been expanded and revised to include the later phases of Greek (post-classical, medieval, and modern Greek). As a result, the new encyclopedia includes detailed descriptions of the Greek language, addressing linguistic aspects from various perspectives, including history, structure, individual peculiarities, biographical references, schools of thought, technical metalanguage, sociolinguistic issues, dialects, and the relationship between Greek and other languages.
