University Library Service Directorate

The University Library Service Directorate (SBA Directorate) is responsible for the overall organisation and management of the library service, which includes the Digital Library and 17 libraries.

The SBA Directorate aims to support teaching, study, research, and Third Mission activities within the University. To achieve this, it:

• Provides physical collections in libraries and electronic resources through the Digital Library.
• Promotes and enhances the University’s rare and valuable collections.
• Facilitates access to library holdings (both physical and digital) and provides interlibrary services to retrieve resources not held by the University.
• Offers study spaces, consultation areas, and services for guidance, user support, and training on resource use.
• Implements systems for monitoring, evaluating, and benchmarking services to maintain high standards and ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Manages and develops automated library processes and systems.
• Promotes collaboration with other institutions and universities to establish integrated library services at local and national levels.
