About the Library

The Biomedical Sciences Library at Città Studi was established in 2016 following the University’s acquisition of the former CIDiS building on Via Valvassori Peroni, along with the collections related to the Right to Education.  

At that time, the Biblioteca di Farmacologia e Medicina Sperimentale relocated its library services to the new site and began transferring its collections.  

At the end of 2019, following the closure of the Biblioteca di Scienze del Farmaco, the integration of its collections also commenced.  

Today, in addition to resources dedicated to biomedical research, the Biblioteca Biomedica provides textbooks for medical, pharmacy, and sports sciences courses.  

After the closure of the Biblioteca di Sanità Pubblica e Discipline Infermieristiche in 2020, the Library also took over the management of its collections.
