FUEL - Feminist and Queer Philosophy Special Collection

In collaboration with the FUEL - Feminist and Queer Philosophy research group at the Department of Philosophy “Piero Martinetti”, the Biblioteca di Filosofia is responsible for acquiring and curating the FUEL book collection. While most of the titles are housed in the Biblioteca di Filosofia, selected volumes can also be found at the Biblioteca di Scienze della Storia e della Documentazione Storica and the Biblioteca di Scienze Politiche. Unless otherwise specified, all titles in the FUEL collection are available for consultation and loan. Users can browse the full list of titles and reserve items via the Special Collections section of the Biblioteca di Filosofia in Minerva, the University’s online catalogue.

The FUEL collection was established in response to growing academic and teaching interest in feminist and queer theory, aiming to highlight the relevance of these approaches within contemporary philosophy and to meet the needs of both students and researchers. Embracing an intersectional perspective, the collection features a diverse range of texts—from scholarly monographs to more informal essays and, in some cases, even novels—reflecting the multiplicity of voices represented by FUEL. Its wide scope mirrors the way feminist and queer philosophy engages in ongoing dialogue with a variety of disciplines, including political theory, aesthetics, epistemology and life sciences, all of which contribute to situated forms of knowledge and to exploring the processes of subject formation, both individually and collectively.
