Starting from 17 October 2024, to mark the University’s Centenary, the Philosophy Librart will host an enhancement project devoted to the work of Dino Formaggio, curated by the AN-ICON research group at the Department of Philosophy “Piero Martinetti”.
Conceived by Margherita Fontana, Roberto Paolo Malaspina, and Sofia Pirandello, the project allows library users to explore key themes in Formaggio’s thought via QR codes placed throughout the Library, near the volumes once owned by the philosopher or those he frequently cited. The codes give access to nine audio clips: recordings of lectures delivered by Formaggio at the University of Milan between 1981 and 1983.
Formaggio’s philosophy may also be encountered by chance, through bookmarks discreetly placed in various volumes, each referring back to the project. These bookmarks reveal the rich network of ideas linking Formaggio’s work to the history of philosophy and to the Library’s holdings.
