Borletti Buitoni Collection
This collection consists of 322 musical scores of instrumental and vocal music from the 19th and 20th centuries, including rare editions. It was donated in 2021 by the library of Villa Valvitiano in Perugia, which had been the Buitoni family residence since the 1950s.

The collection primarily consists of sheet music for instrumental works—mostly for piano—as well as vocal compositions, spanning editions from the 19th and 20th centuries. Alongside the canonical repertoire of the “classics,” it includes lesser-known or salon music, as well as operatic works, with occasional forays into mandolin music.
The collection also features examples of patriotic occasional music and a section of songs, the majority dating from the first three decades of the 20th century.
Of particular interest are several scores bearing handwritten dedications by composers, as well as two editions of unfinished sonatas by Franz Schubert, edited by the German musicologist Walter Andreas Dullo.
