Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins (LWW)

New Read & Publish agreement 2025-2027.

New

Contents

Subscription with access to the publisher’s journals and the possibility for authors affiliated with the University to publish scientific articles under an Open Access license in hybrid journals included in the agreement, with no limit on the number of available vouchers. The article types covered by the agreement for OA publication are Original Papers and Review Papers.

Green Open Access

It is permitted to deposit the final peer-reviewed manuscript — that is, the version prior to editorial modifications, typesetting, formatting, and other services (the so-called post-print) — in the Institutional Research Archive (AIR) after 12 months from the publication of the final article in the Publisher’s journals.

OA publications management

The corresponding author may choose to publish his work in Open Access at the time of submission by using their institutional email address, in order to be identified as affiliated with the University on the RightsLink platform of the Copyright Clearance Center provided by the publisher. The agreement allows for OA publication while the author retains copyright.

Retrospective conversion to OA is allowed for articles originally published as non-OA during the contract gap period, starting from January 1, 2025.

CRUI-CARE centrally manages authorizations to monitor the institution’s annual consumption, in close collaboration with the University’s Authors Service and Approval Manager.
