Political Sciences Library

Founded in 1976, the Library offers a multidisciplinary collection spanning economics, law, sociology, history, political science, mathematics, statistics, linguistics, and international studies. It includes reading stations, a computer room, and a group study room. The Library also hosts the European Documentation Centre (CDE) and manages the Documentation Centre of the Department of Social and Political Sciences (CEDOC).

Political Sciences Library - April and May holidays: Library's closed days

The Political Sciences Library on holidays in April and May will observe the following closing days: 

  • from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21
  • Friday, April 25
  • from Thursday, May 1 to Friday, May 2

From Tuesday, 22 April 2025 to Thursday 24, April 2025, the reading room on second lower floor will be closed in the afternoon after 1pm for maintenance.

The Documentation Centre of the Department of Social and Political Sciences (CEDOC) opening hours from January 13 to April 24 are:

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday  9am-12.30pm

Tuesday and Friday 10am-12am; 2pm-4pm

  • 1,394 serial collections, including approximately 230 currently active titles
  • The largest bibliographic holdings are in history, economics, and sociology, supported by a dedicated Documentation Centre (CEDOC).
  • The library also houses substantial collections in law, linguistics, international studies and politics.
  • A rich collection of European documentation is available at the European Documentation Centre (CDE).

The Political Science Library hosts the EDC – European Documentation Centre and manages the CEDOC – Documentation Centre of the Department of Social and Political Sciences.
