The Library of the Centre for Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication offers students the opportunity to take part in the 200-hour On campus student work — an initiative designed to encourage active participation in university life, develop transferable skills, enhance organizational abilities, and contribute concretely to the library’s operations.

Watch the video where two of our student collaborators share their experiences and find out how to apply on the webpage.

The call for 8 collaboration shifts will be published on the Library’s webpage on November 5, 2025. To be selected, you must be ranked suitably in the annual list.

The selection will take place through direct calls from the annual ranking. Students will be called on November 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the office of the library director, Piazza I. Montanelli 11, Sesto San Giovanni (MI), for the contract signing.

200-hour student collaborations at the Language Mediation Library

Register on the list of student collaborations!
The Language Mediation Library is seeking 8 students to work at the library in the framework of 200-hours student collaborations — an initiative sponsored by the University to encourage students to actively participate in campus life.
Working at the library is a unique chance to develop your soft skills, enhance your organisational abilities and contribute to the smooth running of the library on a daily basis.
Watch the video and learn more about this experience from two students who have already worked at our library.
The call for applications will be published on 5 November 2025 on the website of the Language Mediation Library. Students will be selected directly from the annual List of Student Collaborations. More information on how to register on the list is available in the section "Student collaborations: 200 hours" of the University website. Those who are ranked high enough in the list will be invited to sign the contract at the Head Librarian's office (Piazza Indro Montanelli 11, Sesto San Giovanni), on 26 November 2025 at 14:00.
For further details, please contact the Language Mediation Library.

New access control system introduced at the Library of the Centre for Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication

As part of a trial phase, from Monday, 13 October users will have to pass through turnstiles to access the library.

You will be able to access the library with your LaStatale Card or, if you don't have one, with a daily QR-code generated via the LezioniUnimi app or online. Moreover, you won't need to book your seat in the reading room anymore.

The new system will help us gather useful data to monitor access flows and plan improvement actions.
